Ed Chapman / Publisher
My name is Ed Chapman and I am the publisher of GAWEBNews.com, I wanted to take a moment to say a HUGE THANK YOU to the folks like you who visit and use our site on a regular if not daily basis. A LOT of time and hard work has gone into this site and we continue to grow, as we add both new areas of coverage as well as new businesses featured within our pages. We closely monitor the visitor usage as well as the number of hits the site receives on a daily basis and keep a running total that is updated each morning. Since GAWEBNews was designed to drive traffic to the businesses websites featured through-out our site it is important to know how much traffic our site is receiving.
We continue to grow & in 2016
saw the traffic count again go
PAST a MILLION Hits / Visits YTD!
Now to clarify what this number means you have to look at what is involved…a Visit is defined as a hit from any computer (or IP address) if a hit from the same IP address is separated by 30 minutes it is counted as a second Visit. But then you have to also look at how many Pages were viewed (or Hit) and this is where things get interesting. Say you have each visitor starting at our MAIN PAGE then selecting their COUNTY to view, then selecting their CITY and finally the LOCAL Directory for that area. That person has now generated 4 page visits + the initial Hit when they first came to the site. If this is ALL they did that will equal to 230,000+ Visitors to GAWEBNews or an average of 675 per day! This is a LOT of traffic and views for businesses featured on our site!
The great thing about all this traffic is for the most part it is LOCAL FOLKS …because of this the businesses will see multiple visits from repeat and referral business.
THANKS for visiting and using GAWEBNews
